HCL Technologies has launched TechBee, Early Career Program

A leading global technology company, HCL Technologies (HCL), has launched its TechBee early career program for class XII completed students.

HCL Technologies TechBee program prepares students technically and professionally for global IT careers in HCL, where candidates undergo extensive 12-month training to become successful IT professionals and work for world-class global companies.

The course, which began with a batch of 80 students back in 2017, has now become so sought after, that last year about 4,000 students were enrolled, and this year, about 8,000.

The company is now planning to hire over 2,000 fresh talent from Karnataka, under its ‘catch them young’ drive. Under the TechBee program, the firm is currently conducting walk-in training interviews.

This drive is across four cities Bengaluru, Shivamogga, Hubballi, and Mysuru to hire Class 12 students.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Students who have completed Class 12 in 2021 or 2022.
  • Minimum of 60% with Mathematics or Business Mathematics in their curriculum.
  • In case of 2 mark sheets (original and Improvement) being produced by the candidate for the same class i.e. Class 12th, all subjects with the latest marks will be considered for calculating percentage or above irrespective of any board recommendations.

Paid Internship

  • After the completion of a 12-month intensive tech training, students will start receiving an annual salary between Rs. 1.7 lakh to Rs. 2.2 lakh.
  • During the internship, students will be paid a stipend of Rs. 10,000 and will also get the opportunity to do an internship on HCL projects.

Higher Education

The students also have the facility that they will be able to enroll themselves in an undergraduate degree program offered by reputed partner institutions like BITS Pilani, SASTRA University, and Amity University.

HCL has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Karnataka Skill Development Corporation (KSDC) to train tech-savvy, enthusiastic individuals seeking to accelerate their careers in IT.

HCL Technologies added more than 6,000 freshers during the quarter ending June 30, 2022 (Q1FY23) period.

In Q1FY23, headcount rose by 2,089 employees from 208,877 count in March 2022 quarter, while compared to the corresponding period last year – the count climbed by a whopping 34,467 employees.
