Amber Connect, a global leader in vehicle tracking and telematics solutions, is set to open a 4,000-seat Innovation Centre in Coimbatore, India.
This expansion is part of the company’s strategic plan to enhance its operations and tap into India’s growing market for advanced telematics solutions.
Amber Connect is a subsidiary of the Jamaica-headquartered Amber Group, which operates across various industries in over 100 countries.
The company specializes in providing vehicle tracking, fleet management, and telematics solutions, offering services from corporate fleets to individual drivers.
Amber Connect: Innovation Centre Details
Developers at the new Innovation Centre in Coimbatore will create vehicle telematics software to export worldwide.
The construction of the office is currently underway, with the company planning to open it by the end of 2025.
The facility will house around 4,000 employees, significantly expanding Amber Connect’s presence in India.
Amber Connect plans to hire over 1,000 people for various roles, including technology development, sales, and customer support, over the next two years.
The company’s existing office in Coimbatore already employs about 1,200 professionals across various roles, including product development, software engineering, operational support, logistics, and data science.
CEO’s Statement: Market Strategy and Revenue Targets
India is a key market for Amber Connect, with the company aiming to increase its market share by partnering with various automotive Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and distributors.
Through these partnerships, Amber Connect will focus on offering seamless vehicle tracking, AI-powered analytics, and enhanced security features.
Amber Connect has set ambitious revenue targets, aiming to generate Rs 100 crore in revenues from the Indian market within the next 24 months and Rs 500 crore globally over the next two years.
The company also plans to install its telematics solutions in over 200,000 vehicles during this period.
Dushyant Savadia, Founder and CEO of Amber Group, highlighted the significance of India’s tier-II markets, such as Coimbatore, for the company’s expansion.
He emphasized the rich engineering talent available in these cities and the potential for growth.
