Ashok Leyland Inaugurates ‘Women-centric Cabin Trim Line’

An Indian multinational automotive manufacturer, Ashok Leyland has inaugurated ‘Women-centric Cabin Trim Line’ at Pantnagar plant.

The company said on its page, “We are happy to share that a new ‘Women-centric Cabin Trim Line’ has been inaugurated at our Pantnagar plant.”

“This Women-centric line has been inaugurated during this festive season to celebrate womanhood, exemplifying the resilience and strength of women across the country”, the company said.

The company further said, “The new line will address the growing demand of large-size cabins for commercial vehicles.”

Ashok Leyland vehicles have built a reputation for reliability and ruggedness. In the journey towards global standards of quality, Ashok Leyland reached a major milestone in 1993 when it became the first in India’s automobile history to win the ISO 9002 certification.

The more comprehensive ISO 9001 certification came in 1994, QS 9000 in 1998 and ISO 14001 certification for all vehicle manufacturing units in 2002.

It has also become the first Indian auto company to receive the latest ISO/TS 16949 Corporate Certification (in July 2006) which is specific to the auto industry.

Recently, Volkswagen Passenger Cars India announces that the City Store SP Road, Ahmedabad, Gujarat would be it’s 2nd ‘All-Women operated City Store’.

Following the successful launch of the first store in Coimbatore, Volkswagen India in partnership with Automark Group has expanded this initiative to the state of Gujarat.
