Google Opens Paid Internship and Apprenticeship Options in India

Google has announced new paid internship and apprenticeship programs in India for students working toward Bachelor’s, Master’s, and PhD degrees.
These roles offer practical work experience and a chance to work with skilled teams at Google. Positions are available at Google offices in Bengaluru, Pune, and Hyderabad, showing the company’s ongoing focus on India’s tech growth.
These programs are open to students from many study areas, with a strong focus on engineering, research, and science. Google invites eligible students to apply and gain real work experience in a well-known global company.
Internship Roles and Eligibility
Available roles include Silicon Engineering Intern, PhD – Summer 2026, Software Engineering PhD Intern – Summer 2026, and Student Researcher – 2026. The last date to apply is March 31, 2026.
The Silicon Engineering and Software Engineering PhD Intern roles are open to students currently enrolled in PhD programs in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or similar fields. Selected interns will work with senior engineers and system designers on planning, testing, and building new Cloud Silicon systems used in Google’s global services.
Student Researcher Program and How to Apply
The Student Researcher 2026 program is open to students in Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD programs in areas such as Computer Science, Linguistics, Statistics, Biostatistics, Applied Math, Operations Research, Economics, and Natural Sciences. Interns may be placed across several Google teams, including research and engineering groups.
Student Researchers will work on research projects that focus on real problems at large scale. Their work will support improvements across Google’s products and services and offer strong experience in research-based roles.
