TCS to vaccinate its employees thru direct tie-up with suppliers

India’s largest IT Services firm, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) is planning to vaccinate its employees and their family members through a direct tie-up with the suppliers, after government’s new guidelines for vaccinating everyone above the age of 18 years, starting from May 1.

The total headcount of TCS is 488,649, a majority of them are based in India.

TCS spokesperson said, “We have already been undertaking the vaccination drive for our eligible associates and their dependents, through our hospital tie-ups across locations. Taking into cognizance the recent directives of the government, we are working out modalities of vaccination drive in direct partnership with suppliers,”

Infosys the second largest IT services firm has tied up with over 130 hospitals across the country where its employees and their immediate families can get vaccinated. This is in addition to vaccination camps on campus.

Richard Lobo, EVP & Head HR, Infosys said in a statement, “We welcome the decision from the government to open up vaccination for all adults in India. We work with our partners to accelerate our vaccination program to cover our employee population as early as possible.”

Wipro has partnered with Connect and Heal (CNH), a tech-enabled, online-to-offline delivery platform specializing in primary care and urgent response services to bring covid vaccination support to employees. On the first day, 200 employees and their families will be vaccinated.

Tech Mahindra has launched ‘Mhealthy’, a comprehensive Covid-19 risk-screening test that ensures every individual stepping into its premises is healthy, thereby making it a safer place to work. Mhealthy seamlessly connects health providers with employees while tracking and monitoring their overall well-being.

Tech Mahindra has partnered with Fortis Healthcare and will cover the cost of vaccination for all its associates and further plan to extend the benefit to its third-party employees as well.
