Telangana Govt to create 3 lakh jobs in electronics manufacturing: KTR

Hyderabad: Telangana state government has said it has a fixed target to deliver three lakh jobs in the electronic manufacturing sector over the next four years. State IT, Minister of Industry, KTR, made this revelation while answering questions raised by MLAs about the incentives given to the electronics manufacturing sector during Question Time during the current budget session of the Assembly.

The minister said at the event that more than 250 companies from the electronics manufacturing sector provide jobs to 1.6 million people in the state. He said the state government made electronics manufacturing and research and development as the most important sector. He said the state has also put in place a special electronic policy to meet the specific requirements of the industry.

KTR also said that the state government has also started with fuel reserve web policy for the development of R&D capabilities and fuel reserve systems from the year 2020 to 2030. He said that the state has two electronic bunches spread over 912 hectares of land outside the ORR -project. He said they had devised plans to lure Rs. 75,000 investments worth for the next four years in the state.

He also said that they have put together a task force for the development of the electronic manufacturing sector. He said it would provide jobs to local youth in all electronic vehicle manufacturing businesses. According to KTR, the state received Rs. 23,000 crore investments over the past six years. He said the state had only 50,000 jobs in the sector before the foundation and added that the jobs rose 1 lakh after the foundation. He said the state government would give incentives to the sector.
