SAP acquires AppGyver professional No-Code platform

Business software group SAP announced that it has acquired AppGyver, a specialist in “no-code” development platforms whichs make it possible for users to build web applications without having to know how to code.

The deal builds on SAP’s latest product, called RISE, that packages support for clients in shifting their enterprise applications to a cloud environment.

The acquisition is expected to broaden the RISE with SAP offering, which helps businesses in process automation and transitioning enterprise applications to a cloud-based environment.

AppGyver would also complement SAP’s low-code offering through its partner company, Siemens AG unit Mendix Technology BV.

Following the deal, AppGyver’s services will become part of SAP’s Business Technology Platform.

Terms for the deal were not disclosed.
