How does GSK celebrate Republic day & Independence Day?

While a healthy employee engagement score can act as a catalyst for productive workforce, it is equally difficult to keep every employee’s engagement level high. One of the important factors to ensure this, is to make the employee feel that his / her contribution to the organization is being valued, recognized & plays a vital role towards achieving the organizational goals.

At GSK, we try to ensure that not only employees but their immediate family also feels connected to the organization. There is no better way to recognize employees than rewarding them in the presence of their family members.

During the annual day function, we invite family of all employees & recognize the best performers by rewarding them. It’s indeed a proud moment for any employee to get recognized in front of their parents / spouse / children.

We invite employees’ family members to the factory site during Republic day & Independence Day functions and arrange programs like drawing competition, children speeches and dance performances for employee’s children.

Employee’s spouse gets opportunity to see the workplace where employee spends most of his / her time. It’s a known fact that a healthy work life balance helps employee to perform better at work place.

While most of the organizations invest in training the employees on various aspects, we don’t restrict this only to the employees, but also extend few specific programs to employee’s family as well.

We have been arranging capsule programs for employees & their spouses on topics such as ‘Secrets of a Happy & healthy married life’, ‘Health & Yoga’ etc.

Be it a fun activity or sports events or a CSR activity like blood donation camp, tree plantation or spending a day with underprivileged children; all such initiatives help us in bringing the employees closer to the organization & thereby improve their engagement at work place.
