Microsoft announces special cash award for employee recognition

Microsoft Corporation, a global technology giant, has taken a commendable step to recognize the unwavering dedication of its workforce. In a companywide memo, Kathleen Hogan, Chief People Officer at Microsoft, announced a special one-time cash award for employees.

Microsoft will give employees a one-time cash award, adding 10% to 25% of their annual bonuses from the recent fiscal year.

“The senior leadership team and I want to recognize the tremendous work and impact of our people who delivered a terrific year of solid execution and world-class innovation,” wrote Kathleen Hogan, Microsoft’s Chief People Officer, in a companywide memo detailing the plan to employees.

This gesture aims to celebrate their significant contributions and achievements during the recently completed fiscal year.

Microsoft Bonus Details

  • Magnitude of the Bonus: Microsoft has amplified its annual bonuses by an additional 10-25 per cent. This means that employees will receive a boost to their regular bonus payouts.

Just four years ago, the company’s workforce in the Seattle region exceeded 50,000. Today, it stands at over 230,000—a testament to Microsoft’s resilience and adaptability.
