Sarma Chillara Joins Boeing India as Chief HR Officer

Boeing India has appointed Sarma Chillara as its Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), marking a strategic step in strengthening its leadership team amid continued expansion in the region.

With over 18 years of experience in human resources, Sarma brings a deep understanding of organizational transformation, leadership development, and people strategy across both global and Indian enterprises.

In his new role, he will steer Boeing India’s HR priorities to foster a high-performance culture, drive workforce excellence, and advance leadership capabilities aligned with the company’s long-term growth objectives.

At Boeing India, he is expected to champion initiatives that strengthen talent development, diversity and inclusion, and learning agility.

HR Leader with Global Perspective

Before his move to Boeing India, Sarma worked for more than 13 years with Škoda Auto Volkswagen India Private Limited, serving as a Member of the Board – Human Resources & People Services.

During his tenure, he played a pivotal role in shaping talent management frameworks, building agile leadership pipelines, and enabling cultural transformation.

His earlier stints with Boston Consulting Group (BCG), Citi, and Future Group India fortified his strategic acumen and operational depth, particularly in scaling people strategies within complex and evolving business environments.
