Labour commissioner has issued notice to Capgemini, warning of action if it fails to revise its decision

After the complaint by the Maharashtra unit of FITE (a self-proclaimed union for IT employees) and National Information Technology Employees Sena (NITES) on Twitter and a written complaint to Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray and Labour Commissioner, Maharashtra that Capgemini tweaks its leave policy in India and company is forcing employees to take leave who have no projects assigned. Labour commissioner has issued notice to Capgemini, warning of action if it fails to revise its decision.

“Capgemini has reset all earned leaves of the employees to 15 to compensate for business loss,” the Maharashtra unit of FITE alleged on Twitter.“

According to Pune Mirror, the company has now received a notice from Labour commissioner to revoke the revised leave policy, failing which the firm is likely to face strict action.
