According to a LinkedIn post by Mumbai-based Apple recruiter Nidhi Sharma on Nov. 16, Apple’s initial stores would be in Mumbai and Delhi.

She confirmed on Social Media, “Today marks one of the major milestones in creating History for Apple Retail in India… 🥳🥳🥳 We are now LIVE 🇮🇳 and we are bringing our very 1st 2 stores to India in Mumbai & Delhi! 🎊🙌🏻🤩”

“A job at Apple is unlike any other you’ve had. You’ll be challenged. You’ll be inspired. And you’ll be proud. Because whatever your job is here, you’ll be part of something big and extraordinary.” Nidhi added.

Nidhi Further said, “So if you’re someone who’s passionate about delivering exemplary experiences and enriching lives, this is the place for you. 😊”

“You can now apply to our store roles through the Careers website,” she added.

The first Apple Store will open on August 15, 2022, to coincide with the country’s Independence Day.

At Bengaluru Tech Summit on November 17, Apple’s Vice President- Operations, Priya Balasubramaniam, also confirmed that the company is looking to open physical retail stores.

However, she didn’t specify a timeline. So far, Apple has only sold its products via third-party sellers in India, or through online portals such as Amazon, Flipkart, and Paytm Mall.

Apple directly or indirectly supports over 1 million jobs in India already, Balasubramaniam said. This includes its own full-time employees, developers of apps for its iOS ecosystem, and workers at its factories.

Apple said on its career page, “Explore a collaborative culture of inclusion, growth, and originality, supported by resources that make a difference in your life.”

The company has posted a series of job openings in two different parts of the country, all of which are basically work opportunities at the Apple Store.

The descriptions of these jobs clearly mention the term Apple Store and how the applicants will have to work with customers visiting the retail store.
