PwC appoints Jaya Vaidhyanathan as an external director

PwC appoints Jaya Vaidhyanathan as an external director to its global board, the body responsible for the governance of PricewaterhouseCoopers International (PwCIL) and the PwC network, oversight of PwC’s network leadership team, and approval of the standards by which each PwC firm must abide. 

From 23 January 2023, Jaya has worked with the existing board members who are made up of partners and principals from 13 PwC firms from across the world.

Jaya is one of two external directors on the Global Board, and one of two independent directors on the PwC India Board. Jaya brings extensive experience working with leading financial services firms and technology companies.

She is the CEO of BCT Digital, a global technology company specializing in innovation in predictive analytics, AI, and the internet of things (IoT). She is a former Partner at Accenture, Executive Vice President of Standard Chartered Bank, Director at HCL, and has served as an Independent Director of Altran Group and Mahindra Group.

She served as an Independent Board Director of UTI Asset Management. Jaya holds an MBA from Cornell University and a Bachelor’s in Engineering from Madras University.
