65% of TCS employees work from office 3-5 days a week

An IT services, consulting, and business solutions organization, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) company’s 65% of employees work from office 3-5 days a week.

According to the reports of the Money Control, CEO and MD K Krithivasan said, “Our return to office policy worked well. Almost 65 percent of the associates are working from the office at least for three to five days. And we are improving the numbers.”

“We are sending positive incentives for them to come back to office on all five days. I’m sure we’ll get there most of the employees working from office in the next couple of quarters,” he added.

Earlier, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) ended the hybrid work policy and asked its employees to work from the office 5 days a week from October 1, 2023 onwards. Until October 1, employees were attending the office for three days a week.

The company had ended the hybrid work model in internal communication and said, “As communicated by the CEO and chief human resources officer (CHRO) in various townhalls, all associates must attend office on all the working days (5 days per week if there are no holidays) starting 1 October 2023.”

Earlier in November, the company also sent sudden transfer notices to its employees after ending Work From Home policy and asked them to join the assigned location within 15 days. Moreover, The company has sent transfer notices to over 2,000 employees from various locations.

TCS headcount dropped by 5,680 employees workforce stood at 603,305 as of December 31 with attrition at 13.3% for the last twelve months. The company’s workforce stood at 608,985 as of September 30, reported a dip of 6333 employees from the last quarter.
