Allcargo Group Appoints Punit Misra as President – Chairman Office & CBO

Allcargo Group, a leading India-born global logistics conglomerate, has appointed Punit Misra as President – Chairman Office & Chief Business Officer. The announcement, made on October 23, 2025, marks a significant step in the company’s ongoing efforts to reinforce its leadership and institutional framework.

Punit will work closely with Shashi Kiran Shetty, Founder and Chairman of Allcargo Group, to drive long-term sustainability, deepen execution capabilities, and enhance strategic governance across the organization.

Based in Mumbai, Punit will report directly to Shashi and collaborate with the broader leadership team to oversee strategic goals and value creation.

His appointment reflects Allcargo’s commitment to strengthening its mission, vision, and values while preparing for the next phase of growth.

Three Decades of Cross-Industry Leadership

Punit Misra brings over 30 years of leadership experience across media, entertainment, and FMCG sectors.

Prior to joining Allcargo, he held several senior roles at Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd. (ZEEL), including CEO of India Broadcast Business, President of Content (Broadcast & Zee5 Digital), and President of International Business.

His tenure at ZEEL was marked by strategic transformation and content innovation.

Earlier in his career, Punit served at Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL), where he held leadership positions in Brand and Category Management.

He was also a member of HUL’s management committee, serving as Executive Director and Vice President – Customer Development for India and South Asia.

His diverse experience across industries equips him with a unique perspective on business strategy, customer engagement, and operational excellence.

Leadership Vision and Strategic Focus

Commenting on his new role, Punit expressed enthusiasm about joining Allcargo Group.

“I am excited to join Allcargo Group and to work closely with Shashi as well as the leadership team. Being a global logistics leader rooted in India’s growth story, Allcargo Group is redefining the supply chain narrative with innovation, sustainability and impact-driven execution,” he said.

Chairman Shashi Kiran Shetty welcomed Punit’s appointment, highlighting the strategic depth he brings to the organization.

“His vast experience in driving growth and shaping strategies across renowned conglomerates adds immense foresight to our leadership team. Punit will work closely with me to unlock new opportunities and create sustainable value for all stakeholders,” Shashi said.

Allcargo Group: A Global Logistics Powerhouse

Headquartered in Mumbai, Allcargo Group operates in over 180 countries and is recognized as a global leader in LCL (Less than Container Load) consolidation.

With more than four decades of experience, the Group offers integrated logistics services through its various entities.

Allcargo Logistics Limited is India’s largest end-to-end logistics solutions provider.

Its international business is being demerged under Allcargo Global, which is expected to be listed soon.

The express and consultative logistics business is consolidated under Allcargo Logistics Limited, currently trading as AllcargoGati Limited.

Other entities under the Group include Allcargo Terminals, Transindia Real Estate, and ECU Worldwide, which handles international supply chain operations.

The Group’s digital platforms such as ECU360 and MyCFS support its customer-centric and digital-first approach.

Allcargo has also committed to achieving carbon neutrality by 2040, as outlined in its latest Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) report.
