Bina Belani Joins Ascend Telecom as Chief People Officer

Ascend Telecom Infrastructure has appointed Bina Belani as its new Chief People Officer, marking a significant step in strengthening its leadership team.

With more than two decades of rich HR leadership experience across industries, Bina is recognized for her expertise in HR strategy, talent management, change management, and workforce transformation.

In her new role, she will be instrumental in building strategic talent capabilities, driving the people and culture agenda, and creating a future-ready workforce in line with Ascend’s growth vision in the telecom infrastructure sector.

Proven Track Record of HR Leadership

Bina has consistently demonstrated her ability to align people practices with business goals, enabling organizations to achieve transformation while nurturing talent.

Before joining Ascend, she worked at Jio Platforms Ltd. as Head- Human Resources for Retail Technology, where she spearheaded key HR initiatives for nearly three years.

Earlier, at SLK Group, she served as Head of HRBP, shaping strategic people practices that supported business priorities.

Her tenure at Wipro saw her leading HR for the Product Engineering Services cluster, effectively managing business HR and strengthening employee engagement.

She holds a PGDM in Human Resources from the Goa Institute of Management (GIM).

Decade-Long Contribution at Vedanta Group

Belani’s longest association was with the Vedanta Group, where she spent close to a decade in diverse leadership roles, including heading HR for the Value Addition Business.

During this period, she played a critical role in HR technology, talent management, diversity, and corporate communication, while contributing actively to organizational committees.

Her ability to integrate transformation with a people-first philosophy has been a consistent hallmark of her career.
