Former Infosys veteran Binny Mathews joins Accenture

An Irish-American professional services company, Accenture has appointed Binny Mathews as Chief Procurement Officer.

In this role, he is responsible for leading the strategic direction for Accenture’s global procurement spend. The responsibility includes continuing the transformation of the company’s supply chain into a sustainable, diverse value chain, committed to responsible and profitable buying as well as the 360° supplier partnerships.

Before joining Accenture, he was associated with Infosys for over 15 years. He had held various leadership roles with the organization. His last designation was Senior Vice President and Group Head – Procurement.

On his exit with Infosys, Binny Mathews, said, “Today (Jan 2, 2024) marks my last day at Infosys. It has been a memorable journey of 15 years & 4 months. I carry with me loads of memories of triumphs, laughter, affection, and a few heartbreaks.”

“There are so many people to be thankful to – my managers, leaders, colleagues & team members, clients, and supplier partners who made this journey memorable”, he added.

His earlier stints include working with Mjunction Services Limited (A SAIL-TATA Steel joint venture), Marico Ltd., and Nagarjuna Fertilizers and Chemicals Limited.

Binny is an alumnus of Stanford University and completed his PGDM (MBA), Marketing & HRM from Xavier Institute of Management(XIM Bhubaneswar).
