Gillette India Ltd. Appoints Srividya Srinivasan as CFO

Gillette India Limited has announced the appointment of Srividya Srinivasan as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO).

Effective from November 1, 2024, Srividya will take over the financial reins of the company.

She will be succeeding Gautam Kamath, who has held this position for the past 3.5 years.

Srividya Srinivasan brings a wealth of experience to her new role.

Prior to this appointment, she held key positions within the P&G Group, demonstrating her financial acumen and strategic thinking.

Speaking about her new role, Srividya Srinivasan said“I am thrilled and deeply humbled to kickstart the next phase of my journey with P&G and coming back to India.”

Srividya further said, “This role is a never-before opportunity for me, to work with various stakeholders to bring our integrated growth strategy to life and contribute towards delighting our consumers with superior propositions and growing our business.”

She added, “These are exciting times, and I look forward to contributing to the growth of P&G in India and working towards making peoples’ lives better in small but meaningful ways, every day – together with our people who are the backbone of this organization.”

Gillette India Limited, a subsidiary of the global consumer goods giant Procter & Gamble (P&G), operates in the personal care and grooming industry.

The company is known for its iconic shaving products and has a strong presence in the Indian market.

Gautam Kamath’s Stint as CFO

Gautam Kamath, the outgoing CFO, has been instrumental in shaping Gillette India’s financial landscape during his tenure.

His contributions have spanned various aspects, including financial planning, risk management, and investor relations.

Notably, Gautam will transition to a new assignment as Vice President – Corporate Strategy at P&G’s Global Headquarters.

Gautam said, “It has been an absolute honour and a privilege to serve as the CFO for Gillette India Limited.”

He added, “The last 3.5 years have been rewarding and full of immense learnings, working with various stakeholders of the business to bring our integrated growth strategy to life in our commitment to deliver exceptional results.”

He added “As I extend a warm welcome to Srividya, I am confident that we will scale new heights.”

Gautam said, “I am only optimistic about what the future holds.”

Srividya Srinivasan’s appointment comes at a crucial juncture for Gillette India.

The company faces dynamic market conditions, evolving consumer preferences, and competitive pressures.

As CFO, Srividya will play a pivotal role in driving financial growth, optimizing resource allocation, and ensuring sustainable profitability.
