GSK Elevates Chinmay Sharma to HR Leader, Emerging Markets

GSK has elevated Chinmay Sharma as HR Business Leader, Performance Emerging Markets, strengthening its global HR leadership team.

With nearly two decades of expertise in people strategy, organizational transformation, and leadership development, his appointment is seen as a significant step towards enhancing GSK’s talent agenda across high-growth geographies.

With Sharma at the helm, GSK is set to reinforce its people-centric approach while pursuing growth in diverse and emerging markets.

Leadership at GSK India

Before this global role, Chinmay worked as CHRO & Executive Vice President – Human Resources, India, leading people and culture practices for a workforce of more than 4,000 employees.

His leadership was pivotal in embedding a strong performance culture and advancing employee engagement across GSK India.

Global Career Journey

Chinmay has held senior HR leadership positions at Philip Morris International, Procter & Gamble, and Gillette, spanning assignments in India, Switzerland, Hong Kong, Malaysia, and other international markets.

His cross-border exposure has given him an in-depth understanding of diverse workforce dynamics. His expertise includes talent acquisition, leadership capability building, and cultural transformation, aligning people strategies with business growth objectives.

Chinmay holds a PGDM in HR from the Symbiosis Centre for Management and Human Resource Development. He also completed HRD Program at the School of Industrial and Labour Relations, Cornell University (2013–2014).
