Hameed Jung is Appointed as CHRO of Shriram Bioseed Genetics

DCM Shriram elevates Hameed Jung as Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) of Shriram Bioseed Genetics, the agri-biotech subsidiary of the Group.

Prior to this, he has been associated with DCM Shriram as Vice President – Human Resources and Group Head – Learning & Development.

His appointment is effective July 1, 2025. He will be based in Hyderabad and report directly to Sreekanth Chundi, Executive Director and Business Head – Bioseed.

He will also have a dotted line reporting to Sandeep Girotra, Executive Director and Group CHRO – DCM Shriram.

Hameed takes on the HR leadership at Bioseed following the exit of IVS Ranganath, the company’s outgoing CHRO.

Ranganath has stepped down to pursue new professional opportunities.

Professional Background

Hameed Jung brings over 17 years of experience in human resources leadership across industries, including pharmaceuticals, consulting, financial services, and automotive.

He joined DCM Shriram in October 2022 as Vice President – Human Resources and Group Head – Learning & Development, where he led behavioral and functional capability development across the group.

His prior roles include:

  • Head of Talent Development & Learning for India and Southeast Asia at Baxter International
  • Senior Consultant – Talent Management at Right Management
  • L&D Lead at ICICI Prudential Life Insurance
  • Early-career roles at General Motors and General Electric

Educational Qualifications

Hameed holds a Master’s in Human Resource Management from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), Mumbai, and a Master of Arts in Political Science and International Relations from Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi.
