IndiGo elevates Manika Awasthi as Vice President-Human Resources

India’s largest passenger airline, IndiGo (InterGlobe Aviation Ltd) has elevated Manika Awasthi as Vice President- Human Resources. Most recently, she was working as AVP- HR with the organization.

In this new role, Manika will lead HR functions for Airport Operations and Customer Services, Engineering, CarGo, and Talent Management.

Manika has confirmed the development on social media and said, “I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as Vice President- Human Resources at IndiGo (InterGlobe Aviation Ltd)!”

She is an alumnus of Delhi University and has more than two decades of experience across several domains in Human Resources in a global and local context spanning Business Unit Level HR partnerships.

Manika has vast experience setting up and running HR Shared Service Centers (for employee life cycle processes, policies, and compliance), Talent Management (Performance Management, Succession Planning Career Mentoring, Competency Framework, Leadership Development, Capability Development), and Corporate level HR.

She also has experience in leading Women Leadership Networks for geography with the agenda of driving gender diversity and ensuring organizations continue to grow and invest in their women workforce.

Prior to  IndiGo, Manika was associated with Sapient as Director- People Strategy, she has worked with Sapient for over 13 years at different levels in human resources.

Manika holds MA in Psychology, and Industrial Psychology from Delhi University and also did BA in Psychology (specialized in Organization Behaviour).

She started her career at GE Capital International Services as an Intern.
