LNJ Bhilwara Group Appoints Ranjan Sarkar as Group CHRO

The diversified Indian conglomerate LNJ Bhilwara Group has appointed Ranjan Sarkar as its new Group Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), effective August 1, 2025.

Ranjan joins the group at a pivotal moment as it accelerates expansion into green energy, power, and advanced materials, while continuing to strengthen its legacy businesses such as RSWM Limited and HEG Limited.

With over 25 years of cross-sector HR leadership experience, Ranjan is expected to play a central role in aligning the group’s people strategy with its ambitious growth and transformation agenda.

A Career Built on Strategic HR and Industrial Relations

Ranjan brings a rich portfolio of experience across industries including automotive, energy storage, pharmaceuticals, media, and insurance.

Prior to joining LNJ Bhilwara Group, he served as President – HR at Exide Industries, where he led HR strategy for a $2.5 billion energy storage business spanning automotive batteries, lithium solutions for EVs, solar energy, and metal refining.

His earlier roles include:

  • Vice President – HR at CEAT Limited, overseeing both the core tire business and its specialty subsidiary CSTL
  • AVP – HR at Zee Entertainment and Dish TV, managing HR for media and DTH operations
  • Manager – HR at GSK Pharmaceuticals, focusing on talent strategy in the pharma sector
  • Management Trainee – HR at Shaw Wallace, now part of the UB Group

Ranjan holds an MBA in Human Resource Management from Symbiosis Institute of Business Management, Pune, and has completed executive education from ISB Hyderabad.
