McDonald’s Appoints Saumya Mittal as Chief People Officer, Asia

McDonald’s Corporation has announced the appointment of Saumya Mittal as Chief People Officer for Asia.

With nearly two decades of global HR leadership experience, Saumya steps into the role to drive the people agenda across one of McDonald’s fastest-growing regions.

Before joining McDonald’s, she worked as APAC Commercial HR Lead at Google, where she played a key role in shaping people strategy across diverse markets.

Earlier, she spent more than a decade with PepsiCo, leading talent management and organizational development initiatives that contributed to business transformation in multiple geographies.

Recognized as a Leading HR Voice

Her journey has been marked by recognition and excellence in the HR field. She was a winner of the prestigious People Matters “Are You in the List” 2015 award, which identifies future HR leaders making an impact in the profession.

An alumna of the Management Development Institute (MDI), Gurgaon, Saumya has consistently championed strategic HR practices that balance organizational growth with employee experience.

Her ability to align business needs with talent priorities has positioned her as one of India’s most respected HR professionals.

Driving McDonald’s People-First Agenda in Asia

Sharing her excitement about the new role, Saumya wrote on LinkedIn: “Started a new chapter this week as Chief People Officer for Asia at McDonald’s Corporation.
