Shahi Exports, India’s largest apparel manufacturing organization appoints Vinod Rai as Executive Vice President and Group Head of HR.
In this role, Rai will oversee the entire HR function across Shahi’s three large businesses, reporting directly to the Chairman and the Board. This strategic role encompasses leadership and management of Shahi Export’s vast HR operations, driving initiatives that align with the company’s mission and growth objectives.
With over one lakh employees, of whom 70% are female, and operations across eight states with more than 50 factories and three large processing mills, Shahi Export is poised for continued growth under Rai’s leadership. His expertise and strategic vision will be pivotal in driving HR excellence and supporting Shahi Export’s ambitious goals.
Extensive HR Background
Vinod Rai brings a wealth of experience to Shahi Export, with a distinguished career spanning over 25 years. Prior to joining Shahi, Rai worked as the Head of HR at Orient Paper & Industries Limited for one year.
His previous roles include a significant tenure of 12 years at Maruti Suzuki, where he held various HR leadership positions, contributing to the company’s growth and HR strategy.
Rai also has experience working with Jubilant Life Sciences Ltd and Panacea Biotec, where he honed his expertise in HR management.
Rai holds an MBA in Human Resources from Nagpur University, which complements his extensive practical experience. His appointment is expected to enhance Shahi Export’s HR capabilities, foster a dynamic workplace culture, and support the company’s strategic objectives.
