Subros names Shradha Suri as Chairperson and MD of the company

The Board of Directors of Subros at the meeting held on May 26, 2021, appointed Shradha Suri as Chairperson and Managing Director of Subros Limited.

Shradha Suri Marwah is an economics graduate from Delhi University with masters in international marketing & information technology from London, UK. She joined Subros in 2000 after a short stint with Six Continents, UK, and Reebok, India. She has over 21 years of experience in the automotive sector. She has played a significant role in making long-term strategies for the company, taking it to new heights. Currently, she is on the ACMA executive committee as the chairperson of the ACMA Northern region.

Ramesh Suri, Chairman of Subros Ltd and father Shardha Suri, had passed away on May 12, 2021, battling deadly Covid-19 in Delhi at Fortis Hospital. He founded Subros Ltd in 1985 as a joint venture public limited company with 36.79% ownership held by the promoter family, 20% by Denso Corporation, and 11.96% by Suzuki Motor Corporation, Japan.

“I am deeply saddened with an irreparable loss by the passing away of my father Ramesh Suri. Over the decades of his dedication to work and his visionary purpose seeped through to create the core of Subros. His presence will be missed; his absence makes us more aware and focused to always be present to his vision for Subros.” Shradha said

It is a responsibility that I accept with humility and with a deep resolve to continue the path set by our late chairman. I shall further strengthen and build market leadership across all business segments of Subros, with the support of our Joint venture partners DENSO Corporation, Japan, Suzuki Motor Corporation, Japan, and all our stakeholders and customers. Most of all, I take on the mantle to manage and guide the dedicated team at Subros to continue our shared aspiration to build an exemplary enterprise,” She added in her statement.
