Tata Steel appoints Chandan Mishra as Head-HR, Sahibabad, marking a significant milestone in his career.

With nearly a decade-long association with Tata Steel, Chandan has played a pivotal role in human resource management, workforce development, and strategic HR initiatives.

His appointment reflects Tata Steel’s commitment to strengthening its HR leadership and fostering a dynamic workplace culture.

Tata Steel Sahibabad Head HR Chandan Mishra’s Journey in HR

Head HR Chandan’s career in human resources began in July 2011 when he joined Asian Paints as a Human Resource Officer (HRO).

In June 2014, he transitioned to Samsung Electronics, taking on the role of HR-PST.

His journey with Tata Steel commenced in September 2015, when he moved from Noida to Maharashtra to serve as Manager HRM-CRC West.

Over the years, Chandan has held several key HR positions within Tata Steel, including:

  • Senior Manager HRM-RMHS and L TSK (2018) – Relocated to Orissa.
  • Senior Manager HRM-Supply Chain TSK (2020) – Strengthened HR operations.
  • Senior Manager HRBP, Improvement & New Initiatives, TSK (2021) – Focused on workforce transformation.
  • Head HRBP OMQ (2022-2024) – Led HR strategies for operational excellence.
  • Head HRBP New Business (2023) – Based in Kolkata, overseeing HR for new ventures.

Educational Background and Expertise

Chandan holds an MBA from LN Mishra College of Business Management and a Postgraduate Diploma in Labour Law from the Indian Law Institute.

His academic foundation has equipped him with strong HR acumen, enabling him to navigate complex workforce challenges and implement effective HR strategies.

His areas of expertise include:
