Tech Mahindra appoints former Infosys Atul Soneja as COO

An Indian multinational information technology services and consulting company, Tech Mahindra has appointed Atul Soneja as Chief Operating Officer (COO).

CP Gurnani, Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer, Tech Mahindra, said, “On behalf of the Board and the entire team, I am happy to welcome Atul Soneja to Tech Mahindra. His rich experience and vast knowledge of the industry, combined with his relentless dedication to automation, make him an ideal candidate to lead our operations.”

“We are confident that Atul’s expertise will help us drive growth and enhance our capability to deliver innovative solutions,” he added.

On his appointment, Atul Soneja Chief Operating Officer said, “I am thrilled to join the leadership team of Tech Mahindra.”

“I believe it is a business with an extraordinary global mark, a strong brand portfolio, a highly skilled team, and an unparallel reputation as a leader in technology”, Atul Soneja added.

“My vision is to continue the momentum that Tech Mahindra has by leveraging next-gen technologies,” Atul Soneja further said.

Atul Soneja joins Tech Mahindra from CitiusTech where he was Chief Operating Officer. His previous stints include working with EdgeVerve, Infosys, and Quinnox Consultancy Services Ltd. He comes with over 28 years of experience as a technology executive.

Prior to CitiusTech, he spent 26 years across a variety of roles in IT services and Products & Platforms business. In the role as the Global Head of Edge Products and Infosys NIA™, at EdgeVerve Systems Ltd (An Infosys Company), he was helping enterprises reimagine their business using products and platforms focused around Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Automation.

Prior to running the platform and product business, he spent 23 years in IT services, managing multi-billion dollar business lines, and global teams, and crafting business solutions for clients across different industry segments.

He holds his Bachelor of Technology from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur.
