Vodafone Idea Ltd Appoints Gurucharan Singh Gandhi as CHRO

Vodafone Idea Limited has appointed Gurucharan Singh Gandhi as its Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), effective April 1, 2025.

This leadership change comes as Suvamoy Roy Choudhary, the current CHRO, will be superannuating from the company on March 31, 2025.

Suvamoy Roy Choudhary has been a prominent figure in Vodafone Idea’s HR department since 2018.

His extensive career includes roles at Motorola, Inc., Baxter Healthcare Corp., and Vodafone India Ltd4.

Suvamoy’s leadership has been instrumental in navigating the company through various challenges and transitions, contributing to its growth and stability.

Vision for the Future of Vodafone Idea Ltd.

As the new CHRO, Gurucharan Singh Gandhi will lead Vodafone Idea’s HR strategies.

He will focus on talent development, organizational growth, and employee engagement to drive the company’s long-term business objectives.

His expertise in HR leadership and people-centric strategies is expected to support Vodafone Idea’s vision of becoming a future-ready, employee-driven organization.

Gurucharan Singh Gandhi brings over 23 years of experience in various domains of Human Resources, primarily in the Financial Services and Fashion Retail sectors.

He joins Vodafone Idea from Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Limited, where he has been heading HR for Madura Fashion and Lifestyle.

Prior to this, Gurucharan held key HR roles at Aditya Birla Sun Life Insurance and Aditya Birla Capital.

In these roles, he led the business center of expertise for Learning & Development.

Career Highlights

Gurucharan’s career includes significant roles such as Head of Learning and Development at Aditya Birla Capital.

In this role, he played a pivotal part in shaping enterprise-wide learning programs, leadership training, and performance management frameworks.

He also served as Head of Change Management at Max Life Insurance, leading large-scale transformation and training programs.

His earlier experience includes key HR leadership roles at Bharti AXA Life Insurance and Nicholas Piramal India Limited.
