Genpact, a global professional services firm specializing in digital transformation, has announced the elevation of its Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), Piyush Mehta as Country Manager for India, effective immediately.

This strategic move underscores Genpact’s commitment to leveraging talent within its organization and aligning leadership roles with its growth objectives.

The appointment signals Genpact’s shift towards prioritizing AI in operations, according to Genpact. Piyush will continue to lead the company’s HR function globally.

In 2023, Genpact expanded into tier 3 cities like Madurai, Jodhpur, and Warangal to strengthen talent acquisition and market presence.

“India remains a strategic talent market for us, and we believe people are the greatest assets for us and our clients,” stated B.K. Kalra, Genpact’s president and CEO.

Kalra added, “Piyush has a successful track record of building and growing our talent ecosystem over the last 25 years. His experience will be invaluable as we strengthen our foundation in India.”

In his expanded role, Mehta will drive the company’s AI-first strategy, delivering value for key stakeholders in India.

“India’s talent has always been a prime differentiator for economic growth in the country,” said Mehta.

Mehta added, “I look forward to taking on this expanded role as we continue to grow our business, empower India’s talented workforce, and contribute to the country’s economic landscape.”
