Godrej Properties appoints Gaurav Pandey as MD & CEO

Godrej Properties Limited (GPL) has announced the appointment of Gaurav Pandey as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, effective from 1 January 2023. Currently, he heads the North Zone of Godrej Properties.

Gaurav will replace Mohit Malhotra as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of GPL. He will pursue opportunities outside Godrej Properties, with effect from the close of business hours on December 31, 2022. His resignation has been accepted by the board of directors at its meeting on August 2, according to the filing.

Gaurav has been part of GPL for five years. He joined in February 2017 as Business Head and later, he was appointed as CEO of North Zone of GPL.

Commenting on the leadership changes, Pirojsha Godrej, Executive Chairman – Godrej Properties said, “I am delighted that we are appointing Gaurav as our next Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer. The strong value creation he has delivered as CEO of our business in the North Zone combined, with his demonstrated passion and leadership, makes him a great fit for this role.”

Gaurav has over 17 years of experience in the real estate sector. Prior to joining Godrej, Gaurav was the CEO of Burman Estate.

Earlier, Gaurav has also been Senior Vice President and Head of Research & Consulting for PropEquity, and previously, he has been associated with Sheth Creators, Ascendas, and Sahara Infrastructure & Housing.

Gaurav is an alumnus of the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) and the University of Delhi.
