Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals Ltd. has appointed Dr. D. Prasanth Nair as the company’s new Chief Human Resources Officer effective from 8th May, 2023.
An accomplished HR veteran with over 20 years of experience, Dr. Prasanth will be responsible for strengthening the company’s employee experience, leading talent management, and supporting the Diversity & Inclusion initiative to build Crompton as an overall great place to work.
Dr. Prasanth brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise having worked extensively across several HR functions for organisations, focused on talent development, change management, coaching & counselling as well as embedding technology in HR.
A visionary leader, he has effectively taken over the identification & nurturing of talent, enabling them to scale-up, develop the digitization of HR through the years and align the organization & HR with the overall core business strategy that helps drive innovation and productivity in the workplace.
Backed by a diverse set of experiences, he has worked with some leading Indian and multinational companies, having started his journey with RPG Group followed by heading the HR function for Thomas Cook and Cipla. Post this, he was a part of the team that scaled up ZingHR.

Dr. Prasanth holds a Doctorate in HR from IIM Ahmedabad as well as a Bachelor’s in Technology (BTech) from Calicut University. He was born in Kerala & grew up in West Bengal. His interests lie in understanding the complexities of Artificial Intelligence, new-age startups, mathematics, and spirituality.
