Nimrata Kapoor assumes the role of CHRO at Plaksha University

A technology university, Plaksha University has appointed Nimrata Kapoor as Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO).

In her role, She will contribute to shaping talent processes at Plaksha, an innovative tech university in India.

On her appointment with Plaksha University Nimrata Kapoor said, “I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as Chief Human Resources Officer at Plaksha University!

“April 1, 2012, to April 1, 2024 – The journey to scripting my own story and remaining relevant to individuals and organisations as they seek curated solutions for navigating transitional complexities has been extremely enriching. Back to a full-time enabling role and looking forward to playing a small part in realising the big vision of Reimagining Higher Education”, she added.

She has over 20 years of architecting future forward HR strategies, steering organizations through rapid scale-up journeys, and orchestrating synergistic execution of business-aligned HR strategies. She focuses on raising the bar, leading transformative initiatives, and building leaders poised for success.

Her career graph includes global HR leadership roles across diverse industries, including Banking & Finance, Operations, IT Startups, Manufacturing, and Refinery followed by strategic HR advisory and leadership coaching.

Prior to the current role at Plaksha University, Nimrata was Founder of her HR advisory (NimTalkingTalent) for over nine years. Her earlier stints include working with Randstad, J.P. Morgan, and Headstrong.

She started her career working with Reliance Industries Limited as HR. In this role as a HR Generalist for ~400 people in treasury, finance, excise and procurement functions, and moved on to the prestigious position of Executive Assistant to the Head of HR for RIL (who reported to Mukesh Ambani) from Apr’99 to May’00.

Nimrata holds her PGDPM&IR, MBA from XLRI Jamshedpur and completed her Bachelor of Arts Maths (Hons), Gold Medalist from MMV, Banaras Hindu University
