Philip Morris elevates Swati as Director- People & Culture, Malaysia

Philip Morris, Malaysia has announced the elevation of Swati Chawla as Director- People & Culture. Earlier, she was working as Director- Organisation Effectiveness for almost 3 years at Philip Morris International’s regional office in Hong Kong.

In her new role, Swati is responsible for driving effective leadership, building skills of the future, and bringing about a cultural shift towards employee wellbeing and business growth.

She has over two decades of HR experience in areas of Organization Design, Change Leadership, HR Analytics, and Talent Management, and is able to deliver solutions as an HR business partner. She has worked across industries such as consumer goods, pharmaceutical, agriculture, and ITES.

The company has announced her appointment along with the appointment of Andrew Lee as Senior Counsel, who will be tasked as the driving force for the company’s legal function, and a voice towards PMM’s vision of a smoke-free future.

Commenting on the appointments, Naeem Shahab Khan, MD, Philip Morris International (Malaysia), said: “I am pleased to welcome Swati and Andrew to PMM.”

“Hailing from Philip Morris International’s regional office in Hong Kong, Swati in her new role will be shaping and driving our internal transformation by furthering engagement; wellness, and learning of our employees in Malaysia, while helping them navigate through the ongoing pandemic and meet our ever-evolving business needs.” Naeem added.
