Tata Steel Downstream Products Ltd appoints Karan Lakhani as CHRO

Tata Steel Downstream Products Limited has announced the appointment of Karan Lakhani as Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO).

An alumnus of XISS, Karan is an experienced HR Professional with expertise in Industrial Relations, Business HR Partnering, Business Acumen, Strategic HR, HR Policies, Cost Analysis, Organizational Restructuring, Organizational Design, Diversity & Inclusion, and Talent Management.

Prior to Tata Steel Downstream Products, Karan was associated with Tata Steel as Head HRBP. He has over 10 years of work experience in the HR & IR function of Tata Steel Ltd, India Operations. He has worked in multiple geographies having a diverse workforce & varied cultures.

Karan holds a post-graduate diploma in Personnel Management & Industrial Relations from Xavier Institute of Social Service (XISS) and a Tata Business Excellence Model Assessor “Gold Category” from TataBEX. He did his bachelor’s from St. Xavier’s College, Ranchi.

TSDPL is a wholly owned subsidiary of Tata Steel. With 10 large processing units, 13 distribution locations, and a host of partners, today TSDPL is India’s largest steel service organization.
