Walchandnagar Industries gets Santanu Ghoshal as President – OD

Walchandnagar Industries Limited (WIL), a heavy engineering products and EP&C services company appoints Santanu Ghoshal as President – Organization Development, effective 15th of May.

Confirming his appointment, Santanu said, “After a long association with Schaeffler, I have decided to move on and take up an exciting assignment with Walchandnagar Industries.”

“I have joined WIL as President (Organization Development) effective 15th of May. My association with Schaeffler for the last 14 years, helped evolve me as a professional. I wish to thank all my colleagues and leaders.”

“I am very excited to join Walchandnagar Industries. This is a company with a strong legacy and technological prowess. Besides its leadership in the conventional engineering field, it has many firsts in the area of Aerospace, Defense, and many other fields”, he said in the post.

He further said, “The company has started its transformation journey with a motto to Make Walchandnagar Great Again. Look forward to being a part of the team on this journey. Count on your support, blessings, and collaboration.”

Santanu is an insightful Human Resource leader with over three decades of experience. He is driven by fundamental belief that passionate people are the primary drivers of business results.

Prior to Walchandnagar Industries Limited (WIL), he was associated with Schaeffler as Chief Human Resources Officer and Head CSR.

His earlier stints include working with leading organizations such as General Motors, The Timken Company, Exide Industries Limited, Crompton Greaves, and Hindustan Copper Limited.

He holds a post-graduation in PM & IR (Personnel Management, and Industrial Relations) from XLRI Jamshedpur and completed his Bachelor of Engineering from IIEST, Shibpur.
