Mahindra Group Launches SOAR, Returnship Program for Women

Mahindra Group has launched “SOAR: Seamless Opportunity for Amazing Returnships,” an initiative designed to create inclusive workplaces by supporting women returning to their careers.

This program provides full-time roles across Mahindra Group companies for women with at least five years of professional experience.

Program Goals

SOAR is designed to assist women who have taken a career break of 6 months to 3 years in rejoining the workforce.

By offering structured onboarding, mentorship, and long-term engagement, the program helps participants reestablish their careers while showcasing their skills in meaningful roles.

Mahindra Group aims to become a preferred employer for women resuming their professional paths.

Eligibility and Program Features

Women with a minimum of five years of prior work experience who have taken a career break of 6 months to 3 years are eligible.

This broad criterion ensures the program attracts experienced professionals from diverse industries.

  • Full-Time Roles: Participants receive full-time positions aligned with their skills and experience, ensuring stability and career progression.
  • Flexible Options: For specific roles, part-time and job-sharing opportunities are available, allowing a smoother transition back to work.
  • Recruitment and Induction: A streamlined application process ensures clarity, while a tailored induction program provides participants with essential training and mentorship.

Mentorship and Support Framework

SOAR offers a robust support system to ease the transition back to work:

  • Buddy System: A peer buddy is assigned to each participant for six months to provide day-to-day assistance.
  • Mentorship: Senior mentors guide participants for six months, offering career advice and insights to rebuild confidence.
  • Cohort-Based Engagement: Participants are grouped into cohorts, promoting peer learning and collaboration.
  • Feedback and Monitoring: Regular reviews at intervals of 30, 60, 90 days, and beyond ensure continuous growth and satisfaction.
