Centre to pay PF share of employer, employee till 2022

According to ANI report, Union Finance Minister, Nirmala Sitharaman on Saturday said that the Central Government will pay provident fund (PF) contribution for each employer and the employee till 2022 for those that have been known as again to work for small scale jobs in the formal sector after shedding their job.

She also highlighted the Centre’s effort to help migrant staff who returned to their native place after shedding jobs in the casual sector.

“If in a district, more than 25,000 migrant workers working in the informal sector return to their native place will get benefits from 16 Central schemes for employment. In 2020, we increased the MGNREGA budget from Rs 60,000 cr to around Rs 1 lakh cr due to COVID: Finance Minister,” Fiance Minister added.

The government hiked the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employee Guarantee Act (MGNREGA) budget from Rs 60,000 crore to around Rs 1 lakh crore in 2020 amid the Covid-19 pandemic.

The retirement body of EPFO released the provisional payroll data on August 20 which released a growing trend as it included 12.83 lakh net payroll additions during June 2021.

The impact of the second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic waned in June, with respect to payroll data, resulting in huge growth compared to April and May this year, according to EPFO.

The data’s month-on-month analysis highlighted an increase of 5.09 lakh additions in net subscribers during June this year, compared to May 2021.

Sitharaman stated girls shall spearhead the event of Uttar Pradesh below chief minister Yogi Adityanath’s Management.

She additionally highlighted the monetary inclusion insurance policies, together with Stand-Up India Scheme, Pradhan Mantri MUDRA Yojana, Jan-Dhan Yojana, for girls and girls entrepreneurs over the past seven years.

The Union finance minister additionally attended the launch of the ‘Ubharte Sitaare Fund’ (USF) and interacted with founders of numerous corporations, together with start-ups, recognized below the Ubharte Sitaare programme. The program identifies Indian corporations which have the potential to be future champions in the home area whereas catering to international calls.

Sitharaman stated Uttar Pradesh has successfully applied the One District One Product Programme, which supplies the perfect ecosystem for the success of a program just like the Ubharte Sitaare Programme.
