There are several social security programs under the Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO). The EPFO has shared relevant information regarding Jeevan Pramaan Patra for EPS’95 Pensioners.

Jeevan Pramaan is a biometric-enabled digital service for pensioners. The Pensioners of the Central Government, State Government, or any other Government organization can take benefit from this facility.

Digital Life Certificate for pensioners is a service available at Jeevan Pramaan Centres across the country.

The Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation has shared a tweet saying, ” Attention EPS’95 Pensioners, Jeevan Pramaan Patra is valid for 12 months.”

The Pensioners don’t need to submit Jeevan Pramaan Patra in November 2022 if:

  • The pension was started less than a year ago as Jeevan Pramaan Patra is valid for 12 months from the date of the previous submission.
  • Submit Jeevan Pramaan Patra on or before the expiration of 12 months from the date of submission of the previous Life certificate.

Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation had earlier announced EPS’95 pension benefits to Parents/Nominees, widows/widowers, orphans, and children.

How it Works

Jeevan Pramaan uses the Aadhaar platform for the biometric authentication of pensioners. A successful authentication generates the Digital Life Certificate which gets stored in the Life Certificate Repository. The Pension Disbursing Agencies can access the certificate online.

The Digital Life Certificate for Pensioners Scheme of the Government of India known as Jeevan Pramaan seeks to address this very problem by digitizing the whole process of securing the life certificate. To know more click here.

It aims to streamline the process of getting this certificate and make it hassle-free and much easier for pensioners.  With this initiative, the pensioner’s requirement to physically present himself/herself in front of the disbursing agency or the certification authority will become a thing of the past hugely benefiting the pensioners and cutting down on unnecessary logistical hurdles.
