When any Employees’ Provident Fund subscriber retires, s/he will be allotted a Pension Payment Order (PPO). This is a 12-digit number given to each pensioner covered by the Employees’ Pension Scheme (EPS).
This PPO number helps the subscriber in EPFO Pensioners’ Portal. Recently EPFO in a tweet said, “Services available on Pensioners’ Portal.”

The 12-digit PPO number is unique for each pensioner/family pensioner and it works as a reference number for any communication.
The Services available on the Pensioners’ Portal are as under:
- An Employees’ Provident Fund (EPF) subscriber can enquire about Jeevan Pramaan Enquiry.
- An Employees’ Provident Fund (EPF) subscriber can know their PPO number.
- The Pensioners’ Portal is also helpful in PPO/Payment-related Enquiry.
- The subscriber can know about their pension status.

There are several social security programs under the Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation. The Retirement fund body Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) has announced that Pensioners under the (EPFO) can submit their life certificates online at any time of the year.
In a tweet, the EPFO said, “EPS’95 Pensioners can now submit Life Certificate at any time which will be valid for 1 year from date of submission.”
The Employees’ Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) has facilitated multiple options for EPS pensioners to submit their Digital Life Certificate(DLC), close to their home or at their doorstep. Jeevan Pramaan Patra (JPP) submitted through all these modes/agencies are equally valid.
EPFO has also been informed to be “ALERT Beware of Fraudsters!” to alert members to the danger they may be facing. The EPFO members can log in to the official website of EPFO at epfindia.gov.in for any queries and doubts.
