Cognizant in India Has Announced Walk-in Interview on Feb 15

Cognizant Technology Solutions has announced a walk-in interview drive for Software Development Engineers in Test (SDET) Automation roles to be held on Saturday, February 15, 2025.

The Recruitment Drive will take place across four major cities in India Bangalore, Chennai, Coimbatore, and Hyderabad aiming to fill positions that require robust expertise in automation testing.

Job Specifications

  • Primary Skills: Candidates must possess strong coding skills in Java and Cucumber, with experience in Selenium, API Automation, and SQL.
  • Experience: Applicants should have between 4 to 10 years of professional experience, with at least 3 years specifically in Java Selenium.
  • Work Schedule: The position is permanent with a shift from 12:00 PM to 10:00 PM, operating on a hybrid model – three days in the office and two days from home.

Key Requirements

  • 4–10 years of experience with at least 3+ years in Java Selenium
  • Strong coding in Java is required
  • Build test scenarios using BDD frameworks like Cucumber, SpecFlow, or similar
  • Experience in API testing/automation using tools like Postman, Rest Assured, or Karate
  • Hands-on with test automation frameworks like Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress
  • Proficient in Java, JavaScript, Core Java, TypeScript, or similar languages
  • Design and develop test automation frameworks from scratch
  • Conduct cross-browser testing using tools like Sauce Labs or BrowserStack
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced Agile environment
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Define and report quality metrics
  • Lead and mentor quality engineering teams
  • Experience with SQL
  • Healthcare domain experience is a plus

Cognizant is seeking candidates who can not only implement but also lead and mentor teams in Quality Engineering, defining and reporting metrics to enhance product quality.

Additional Information

The role also involves mentoring quality engineering teams, defining quality metrics, and problem-solving in fast-paced projects.

The recruitment process will be managed by Cognizant’s Talent Acquisition Team, led by Vinothkumar Soundarajan.
