DRDO hiring drive for Junior Research Fellow; last date June 25

The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) is conducting a recruitment drive for Junior Research Fellow.

Electronics and Radar Development Establishment (LRDE) is one of the R&D Establishments set up under the Defence R&D organization, Government of India to address the needs of Defence Services in the field of Radar and related Technologies.

LRDE invites applications from young and meritorious Indian citizens, who desire to pursue Radar related research as Junior Research Fellows.

  • Fellowship Stipend: ₹31,000/- per month(plus admissible House Rent Allowance)
  • Upper Age Limit: 28 years for JRF as on 30th Jun 2023. The upper age limit shall be relaxable to the candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and OBC as per Government of India rules.
  • Tenure: The initial offer shall be for a period of 2 years extendable up to a maximum of 4 years as per provisions of the scheme of Research fellows in DRDO.

  • Opening date for Online Application: 05thJun 2023
  • Closing date for Online Application: 25th Jun 2023
  • Conduct of Written Test / Interview: Third week of July 2023 (Tentative)

General Instructions

  1. Interested candidates having necessary qualifications from recognized Institutes / Universities are invited to apply through website https://rac.gov.in/ or https://drdo.gov.in online.
  2. Candidates are requested to ensure their eligibility with respect to age, discipline, qualification, etc., and then proceed for registration online and upload supporting documents.
  3. The marks obtained in the qualifying exam are to be mentioned in percentage. In case of CGPA, Candidates are requested to convert the CGPA into percentage as per University norms and upload the supporting document.
  4. Short-listed candidates will be intimated by email and will be called for a written test and / or interview at LRDE / TTC, Bengaluru tentatively during third week of July 2023.
  5. Candidates will be essentially required to produce original certificates/testimonials w.r.t qualifications & experience, for verification and submit one self-attested copy of the originals at the time of test/interview.
  6. Candidates presently employed in Government Departments / Autonomous Bodies/PSUs will be required to produce NOC at the time of test/interview.
  7. Antecedents of candidate will be verified again at the time of joining, if selected.
  8. LRDE, Bengaluru reserves the right to amend/modify / cancel this advertisement and also to cancel the admission/selection at any time without assigning any reason thereof.
  9. The number of fellowships may vary.
  10. A panel for the vacancies available and future anticipated vacancies will be drawn based on the order of merit. The panel will operate for a period of one year. However, the mere fact of empanelment will not entitle any candidate to an offer of Fellowship, which is contingent upon occurrence of vacancies during the year. Director, LRDE reserves the right not to select any candidate, if suitable candidates are not available.
  11. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview/joining, irrespective of the selection.
