Myntra, India’s leading fashion and lifestyle e-commerce platform, is preparing for its 22nd edition of the End of Reason Sale (EORS) by ramping up its workforce with over 20,000 gig workers.

The End of Reason Sale (EORS) will take place from May 31 to June 12, 2025, bringing a huge surge in demand.

To handle the increased orders, Myntra is expanding its logistics, customer service, and last-mile delivery operations.

Myntra is hiring 4,500 delivery partners to strengthen its last-mile delivery operations during the sale.

Additionally, 1,000 customer service agents will be onboarded to provide seamless support and issue resolution for shoppers.

Women make up 22% of Myntra’s new warehouse workforce, contributing to diverse workplace representation.

They will handle sorting, grading, and packing at fulfillment centers in Bengaluru, Mumbai, Kolkata, and Delhi.

Myntra’s Workforce Expansion Strategy

To handle the anticipated spike in orders, Myntra has partnered with third-party logistics providers and gig employment platforms to onboard temporary workers.

The company’s Chief Human Resources Officer, Govindraj M K, emphasized that this initiative reflects Myntra’s customer-first approach while also creating income opportunities for gig workers.

The newly hired workforce will support:

  • Last-mile delivery operations, ensuring timely order fulfillment.
  • Customer service teams, addressing queries and resolving issues efficiently.
  • Warehouse management, including sorting, packing, and dispatching orders.

Myntra Business Expansion and Funding

Myntra’s workforce expansion comes amid broader business growth.

The company recently secured ₹1,062.5 crore in funding from its parent entity, FK Myntra Holdings Pvt Ltd (Singapore), through the issuance of 1.94 million shares.

This investment is expected to fuel Myntra’s domestic and international expansion, including its recent launch of international shipping services targeting the Indian diaspora in Singapore.

Additionally, Myntra has been strengthening its brand partnerships to remain competitive against platforms like Ajio, Meesho, and Nykaa Fashion.

In 2023, it signed a multi-year franchise agreement with Abercrombie & Fitch Co., bringing Abercrombie & Fitch and Hollister to India through its B2B wholesale arm, Myntra Jabong.

Competitive Edge and Market Positioning

Myntra’s aggressive hiring strategy and business expansion efforts position it as a dominant player in India’s fashion e-commerce sector.

The company serves over 70 million monthly active users and offers a wide range of international and homegrown brands.

To further enhance customer experience, Myntra has been piloting quick delivery services, including 30-minute delivery in Bengaluru, with plans to expand to Delhi and other metro cities.
