TCS iON, a strategic unit of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), has launched its latest edition of the National Qualifier Test (NQT)

NQT is a unified talent assessment platform designed to connect job seekers with over 1.6 lakh employment opportunities across 4,000+ corporates in 23 industries, including IT, BFSI, FMCG, and EdTech.

The NQT serves as a gateway for students and professionals to demonstrate their skills through a standardised test recognised by top recruiters.

Candidates from any discipline graduating between 2021 and 2027, as well as professionals with up to two years of experience, are eligible to participate.

The initiative aims to bridge the employability gap by offering a credible, industry-accepted scorecard that helps employers identify job-ready talent efficiently.

It provides a “3-in-1 combo pack free,” including skill assessments, employment readiness training, and interview preparation resources.

Key Highlights

  • Over 1.6 lakh job opportunities across 4,000+ corporates in 23 industries.
  • More than 20 IT roles (such as Software Developers, Cloud Engineers, Full-Stack Developers) and 150+ non-IT roles (including Sales Executives, HR Specialists, and Business Analysts).
  • The highest package offered through NQT-listed employers reaches up to ₹19 lakh per annum.
  • The exam is conducted only in-centre at authorised venues, in English, with no negative marking.
  • Candidates can retake the test to improve their scores, with their best score reflected on the official scorecard.

Beyond technical and aptitude testing, the NQT emphasises holistic employability — assessing cognitive abilities, communication, and domain-specific knowledge. Its structure aims to make hiring fairer, faster, and more inclusive for both job seekers and employers.

Testimonials featured on the TCS iON portal highlight the test’s impact, noting that it improved job search outcomes and interview readiness. Recruiters, too, appreciate the improved shortlisting efficiency and better candidate-job fit enabled by the platform.

While participation in NQT does not guarantee placement, it offers unparalleled access to career opportunities and visibility among top employers.

How to Register

For registration, eligibility details, and upcoming test schedules, candidates can visit the TCSi ON NQT official portal.
