A post by a woman named Kimberly Nguyen from New York City is going viral. She applied for the same job again after she realized that her company listed a significantly higher salary for the same role on LinkedIn.

Kimberly Nguyen, a 25-year-old woman who is a user experience (UX) writer, shared a series of tweets regarding the job posting on LinkedIn.

Kimberly Nguyen shared a Tweet saying, “My company just listed on LinkedIn a job posting for what I’m currently doing (so we’re hiring another UX writer) and now thanks to salary transparency laws, I see that they intend to pay this person $32k-$90k more than they currently pay me, so I applied.”

“I don’t want to hear one more peep out of them about diversity, equity, and inclusion. I don’t wanna see any more of our C-suite execs recommend books for women’s history month. There were tangible actions they could’ve taken and they chose to perform these values. No thank you”, Kimberly Nguyen wrote.

Kimberly further said, “I have also been arguing for months about the pay inequity. I have told my managers multiple times that I know I’m being underpaid. I have gotten the runaround, and they know they can do this right now in a tough labor market.”

“TLDR: nobody is getting a raise. Nobody is getting anything. Salary transparency for what?”, she wrote.

“Now we’re talking about possible layoffs because what better way to get people to take what they’re given and shut up than to threaten them with job loss?”, she added.

“I’m officially announcing that I am looking for UX writing roles preferably remote, but I am currently located in New York City. Let me know if you have any leads”, she wrote.

However, Twitter users are coming in support of Kimberly Nguyen and shared various reactions. A Twitter user wrote, “when I read this, I feel a bit emotional.

I am also underpaid and my salary as a senior exec is no different than the other execs. I wouldn’t mind if I was not doing more work than them. I have been threatened to be let go for months and it messes with my mental health”
