Accenture has achieved 46% women in its workforce, aiming 50% by 2025

Accenture celebrates the 18th International Women’s Day this year in 2022, its an opportunity for all of us to recognize the outstanding accomplishments of women around the world and engage in open, honest, and meaningful conversations to further advance a culture of equality.

Commenting on gender equality Accenture said, “We’re committed to being a place where women can thrive and hope to work because it’s a place where everyone feels they belong.”

Accenture is closing in on its gender diversity target, with women accounting for 46 per cent of its workforce globally including India, it said.

The company further said, “Our aim is to reach equal gender representation globally. We also have women in 24 per cent of our senior leadership positions (managing directors) in India. Currently, Accenture employs over 250,000 people in India, which is largest anywhere in the world.”

Globally, today, more than 300,000 women work at Accenture Additionally, 50% of its board of directors and 27% of our global management committee are women. Currently, it has a total headcount of 674,000 employees.

Jan Ising, Managing Director & Women Initiative Lead Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and Russia said, “We are convinced that gender equality is essential for a high-performing and innovation-oriented organization.”

“By 2025, we therefore aim to achieve a gender-balanced workforce that is equally balanced between men and women, while providing an environment that is free of discrimination for those whose gender is not binary.” He added.

We believe the future workforce is an equal one and set bold goals to accelerate gender equality, it said.

The company has set bold goals to achieve a gender-balanced workforce by 2025. This means a workforce that is equally 50 percent women and 50 percent men for those whose gender is binary.
