All units of TS Textile Park shut, nearly 1000 people to lose jobs

The owners of these units have faced a heavy financial crunch so they had to close the units shut shop total of the 117-odd units, around 50 units were closed earlier and the remaining were shut on Sunday. With the closure of all the units, the Sircilla Textile Park wore a deserted look.

The worst fears of weavers employed at various units of Sircilla Textile Park have come true on Sunday leaving around 1,500 employees dependent and unsure about their next meal.

Manchala Rajamesham, a worker of Laxmi Textiles, has also explained that there is no other or different supply of earnings for the weavers.

Textile Park Items Homeowners Affiliation president Annal Das Anil stated, “We’re not certain for what number of days the models might be shut. There isn’t readability at this juncture. Till and except the federal government lends a serving to hand, the closure of our models might be indefinite.”

Evaluating the scenario in Telangana with that of different States, he stated, “In Maharastra, the textile producers are equipped electrical energy at Rs 3.50 per unit. In Tamil Nadu, electrical energy is equipped freed from value for as many as 500 models. Nonetheless, the textile producers in Telangana should pay Rs 7.50 per unit.” 

He added, that as there have been spiraling prices of uncooked materials, the producers are additionally being burdened by the ever-increasing costs of yarn and transport expenses. 

CITU Chief Kodam Ramana has also demanded that the federal government take a severe view of the current scenario. This is a serious as well as a worse situation in the scope of weavers.

The Textile Park was arranged with a funding of Rs 7.73 core in 2002-03 by the then united Andhra Pradesh authorities to forestall hunger deaths and empower the weavers.
