Elon Musk’s dog Floki takes over as Twitter CEO

Elon Musk has announced the “new CEO” of Twitter. However, the new CEO is none other than his pet Floki, his Shiba Inu dog

Musk completed his $44 billion acquisition of Twitter Inc on October 4. Musk take over the company and laid off employee close to 50% or 3500 employees. The company also fired the majority of its over 200 employees in India as part of mass layoffs across the globe ordered. 

Post his take over among Musk’s first moves Musk changed the leadership. Departures include Twitter Chief Executive Officer Parag Agrawal; Vijaya Gadde, the head of legal, policy, and trust; Chief Financial Officer Ned Segal, who joined Twitter in 2017; and Sean Edgett, who has been general counsel at Twitter since 2012.

Post this Elon Musk said in a Tweet saying, “I will resign as CEO as soon as I find someone foolish enough to take the job! After that, I will just run the software & servers teams.”

He will be stepping down as the CEO of Twitter once he can find a replacement for the position. It comes after Musk launched a poll asking users for their verdict on his tenure, saying he would “abide by the results”. As per the final votes, 57.5 percent had voted for him to leave.

Elon Musk shared a picture of Floki sitting in the CEO’s chair, wearing a Twitter-branded T-shirt and surrounded by documents and a laptop. He has shared a tweet saying, “The new CEO of Twitter is amazing.”

His serious of tweet said, “So much better than that other guy! He is perfect for the job.”

Another Tweet said, “He’s great with numbers!”

An earlier media report claimed that in the social media company Twitter about 80 percent of its employees shrunk since Elon Musk took over.

The report also claimed that now the headcount is nearly 1,300 working employees. However, Elon Musk issued a clarification tweet correcting the number reported in the article along with additional details. He said that there are 2300 actively working employees.
