India’s second-largest IT services provider Infosys has planned to hire more than 55,000 fresh graduates under Global Graduate Hiring Program in FY23 as it sees a very good runway for growth going forward.

While addressing IT industry lobby Nasscom’s annual NTLF event, Infosys CEO Salil Parekh said, “We will recruit 55k college graduates in FY22. We think we will recruit that or a higher number in next year (FY23).”

The process of hiring freshers at Infosys is changed over the course of time. The company follows two paths. One is the old way, i.e., hiring directly from campuses and the second company formulated an entrance test called InfyTQ

After appearing in this examination, InfyTQ, the students who clear the test move to the next round of interviews. There are no eligibility criteria for InfyTQ. Even the 12th pass students from computer backgrounds may appear in the test.

Infosys has implemented skilling processes for freshers initially for the first three months. As they might lack invaluable skills such as Python and training is essential for those freshers who do not come from a computer science background.

For existing employees, Infosys offers different training programmes; such as Bridge Programme, in which software engineers have the option to move into a consulting role. Employees’ skills are enhanced and then they are accordingly moved to new roles, as per the demand of the new projects.

Parekh also added that Infosys sees a very good runway for growth in the future, which will be primarily led by the services built around the cloud. He reiterated that skilling employees for the work of the future will be among the focus areas.

Global Graduate Hiring Programme

Commenting on Global Graduate Hiring Program, the company said, “Next begins now. Join Infosys to help the world’s largest enterprises navigate their digital transformation journey. In the process, learn and progress your career continuously as you partner with others who share your aspirations and ambitions,”

“Graduates in the United States of America, EMEA, Australia, and New Zealand can visit our regional websites to know more about Infosys’ presence in each of these regions.” ist said.

The company further said, “India-based graduates can participate in our exclusive programs through InfyTQ to get an opportunity to work with us in various roles.”

Recruitment and Hiring Process

The entire hiring process of Infosys is paperless. The company uses AI-based technology to shortlist resumes. All interviews are scheduled in an automated manner with the candidates.

The company has also implemented ‘Launchpad’. With its own platform for interviewing people also in place. Technology plays a big part in the hiring process at Infosys now.
