Infosys has rolled out a new referral program, Restart With Infosys, designed to bring women professionals back into the workforce after career breaks.
The initiative offers mentorship, skill development, and attractive referral bonuses to encourage employees to help the company attract diverse talent.
Program Details and Eligibility
Under the new program, employees can earn rewards of up to ₹50,000 for successful referrals. The eligibility criteria for candidates include a minimum of two years of prior work experience and a continuous career break of at least six months.
The program is open across multiple domains, with opportunities ranging from developer and technology lead roles to managerial positions.
According to Infosys internal communication, the company emphasized that the program is designed not only to hire talent but also to provide returning professionals with mentorship and structured learning opportunities to rebuild their confidence.
Referral Incentives
Infosys has aligned referral rewards to job levels, offering:
- ₹10,000 for hires at JL3
- ₹25,000 for JL4
- ₹35,000 for JL5
- ₹50,000 for JL6
These incentives, the company noted, are a way of showing gratitude to employees who contribute to enhancing diversity in the workforce.
Tied to Diversity and ESG Goals
The launch of Restart With Infosys aligns with the company’s ESG Vision 2030, which aims to increase female representation in its workforce to 45% by 2030.
Currently, women account for about 39% of Infosys’ workforce of over 3.23 lakh employees.
Shaji Mathew, Chief Human Resource Officer (CHRO) of Infosys, highlighted the significance of the program:
“Inclusion is central to our ESG vision. One of our programs, for example, encourages talented women in tech who’ve taken career breaks to ‘Restart with Infosys’ and re-enter the workforce,” he said.
He added that the initiative helped the company hire nearly 900 women in mid-management roles in FY 2024-25, up from about 500 the previous year.
A Step Toward Inclusive Growth
Infosys believes this initiative represents a long-term investment in diversity and inclusion, creating opportunities not just for its own growth but also for the broader technology industry.
By combining mentorship, structured re-entry programs, and strong referral incentives, the company hopes to enhance its talent pool while setting a benchmark in inclusive hiring practices.
