Infosys Opens 1,000-Employee Development Centre in GIFT City

Infosys, a global leader in digital services and consulting, has inaugurated a state-of-the-art development centre at Gujarat International Finance Tec-City (GIFT City), Gandhinagar.

The facility, designed to accommodate over 1,000 employees, will function as a TechFin hub, delivering advanced digital solutions for global Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance (BFSI) clients.

The new centre will strengthen Infosys’ global delivery model, enhance client proximity, and reinforce India’s position as a financial technology powerhouse.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendrabhai Patel, along with Infosys leadership, including Chief Financial Officer Jayesh Sanghrajka.

Strategic Importance of Infosys GIFT City Development Centre

Infosys’ decision to establish a development centre in GIFT City aligns with its vision of leading innovation in financial services from within India’s foremost international financial hub.

The centre will focus on digital banking, regulatory affairs, trade finance, capital markets, cards & payments, and risk & compliance management.

Jayesh Sanghrajka, CFO of Infosys, emphasized that GIFT City offers a robust, future-ready environment, enabling digital transformation through cutting-edge technologies such as AI, generative AI (GenAI), cloud computing, APIs, cybersecurity, and blockchain.

Technological Capabilities and Innovation Focus

The GIFT City development centre will leverage emerging technologies to provide seamless cross-border digital services.

Infosys aims to drive innovation in areas such as:

  • Artificial Intelligence (AI) & Generative AI (GenAI): Enhancing automation and predictive analytics for BFSI clients.
  • Cloud Computing & APIs: Enabling scalable and secure financial solutions.
  • Cybersecurity & Blockchain: Strengthening data security and transaction integrity in financial services.
